About us

It started with 300 kilometers and one idea.

A person wearing glasses, a blue cap, a white shirt, and a red backpack looking out at a coastal landscape with rocks and blue water.

The idea for Berlin in a Box was born during a challenge: to walk 300 kilometers of the Camino de Santiago and launch a business in Germany before reaching the finish line.

Somewhere between the long roads and long thoughts, Andrey Rupor came up with a simple concept — a box full of surprises from his favorite city.

Because even people who live in Berlin often miss its magic:
the hidden corners, the local makers, the small things that make this city endlessly strange and inspiring.

By the time Andrey reached Santiago, the first version of the project was already live — challenge completed.

Since then, Berlin in a Box has grown, changed, and found its new form.
Now it’s back — refreshed, redesigned, and ready to bring Berlin straight to your mailbox.

Send us a short message with what you do and a few photos or links to your work.

  • Not at the moment. Each Berlin in Box is a surprise, curated around a mix of art, design, stories, and everyday magic. But if you have a special idea, event, or collaboration in mind, we’d love to hear it.
Write to us at berlininbox.de@gmail.com, tell us what you’re dreaming of. We’ll see if we can make it happen.
